Karen Jholani Arevalo Coca

 knitting apprentice/special projects

A feshman in high school, Karen helps her mom, senior knitter Norma Coca, part time by making the KUSIKUY yapa gifts, tiered pompom ties from alpaca.  Each pom takes her 3 hours to make and she works on these after finishing her homework and household chores.  She hopes to go to college to study medicine.  Karen is saving her earnings to help pay for her medical textbooks.
