Norma Coca

 senior knitter

Norma began knitting professionally 18 years ago.  She found it was the perfect profession for her as a rural, single mom.  She was able to work in her community of Arani, take care of her children and also earn important family income.  Recently, she invested her earnings into paying for a well (water) and electricity for her home.  The enables her children to have access to clean water and have light in order to study better.  Her oldest daughter, Karen Jholani, helps with special knitting projects.
